Noise & Neighbourhood Policy
Mapperley
At The Residence Co., we want all guests to enjoy their stay while also respecting our neighbours and the residential nature of the area.
This property is located within a quiet residential neighbourhood and we operate a strict no-party and anti-nuisance policy.
For the comfort and safety of guests, neighbours, and the property, a Minut smart noise monitoring device is installed at the property.
The device monitors noise levels only and does not record or store conversations or audio. Its purpose is simply to alert us if noise exceeds reasonable levels for an extended period of time.
We kindly ask all guests to:
- Keep noise to a respectful level at all times
- Avoid loud music, shouting, or disruptive behaviour
- Keep noise inside and outside the property to a minimum, especially during evening hours
- Respect neighbours when arriving, departing, or using outdoor areas
- Ensure all members of the group and visitors follow these rules
Please note that noise travelling into neighbouring gardens, driveways, or surrounding properties may still be considered excessive, even during daytime hours.
Quiet hours apply daily between:
10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
During these hours, guests must significantly reduce noise both inside and outside the property.
If excessive noise or disturbance is detected or reported:
- Guests may receive a warning message, phone call, or visit
- Guests will be expected to immediately reduce the noise
- Continued breaches, ignoring warnings, or anti-social behaviour may result in:
- Immediate termination of the stay
- Guests being asked to leave the property
- No refund being issued
- Additional charges where damage, complaints, security callouts, or neighbour disruption occur
Parties, large gatherings, and disruptive events are strictly prohibited unless explicitly agreed in writing prior to arrival.
Unauthorised parties or events are considered a serious breach of booking terms.
Thank You
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. These rules help ensure a positive experience for guests, neighbours, and the wider community.
